We would rather tell you the truth than give you a date we cannot keep. Matei Motors is a new MOT station being built from scratch, and online booking will only open once we are legally authorised to test vehicles. Below is an honest, up-to-date picture of every step — what is finished, what we are working on right now, and what still lies ahead.

Online bookings are not available yet. No date has been fixed, because it depends on approvals that are not in our hands. As soon as authorisation is granted, this page becomes a live booking system and every Launch Club member is notified by email first.

Our Progress, Step by Step

This list is updated as things move. Nothing here is marked complete before it actually is.

  1. Premises secured

    Done

    We have rented the unit since May, the lease is signed, and the professional noise assessment required for planning is complete.

  2. Workshop fit-out

    Done

    The works inside the unit are done properly, to MOT bay standards, ready for the equipment.

  3. Council approval — change of use (B2)

    In progress

    Our planning consultant has the change of use application with the local council. A DVSA station cannot be authorised without it.

  4. DVSA authorisation

    Still to come

    The final step — the formal VT01 application and the DVSA site inspection before we are legally allowed to test vehicles.

Once authorisation is granted, we open the doors and switch online booking on. The exact date will be announced as soon as we know it — we will not guess.
